Old-Fashioned Christmas

Old-Fashioned Christmas is held the first Saturday in December.

Time travel to the 19th century where Jones Park’s historic 1830s Redbud Hill Homestead comes to life with cookies, wassail, and a ceremonial tree lighting! Before heading to the homestead, enjoy holiday crafts, time-honored music, and photos with St. Nicholas in a traditional covered wagon.  As daylight fades, travel along an illuminated path through the woods to the decorated homestead, where you’ll discover St. Nicholas with helper elves and Mrs. Claus in his workshop.

Reservations required beginning on Wednesday, one week prior to Thanksgiving for Harris County residents and on Monday the week of Thanksgiving for non-Harris County residents. Event attendance is FREE; a meal is also available offered by the Jesse Jones Park Volunteers with a charge and by advance reservation.
