Jump into summer at Mercer Botanic Gardens as we explore plants and animals through garden expeditions, hands-on activities, crafts, and games! Space is limited, and advance registration is required. Call 713-274-4160 to register. A suggested donation of $30 per camp, payable to The Mercer Society, helps cover the cost of supplies. Proof of age required. Please bring birth certificate or passport when registering.

Sessions: Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. - noon

  Butterflies and Bees June 4 – 6 Ages 6 – 8 Scout for butterflies and the flowers that attract them, explore the importance of honeybees, participate in nature-themed games and activities, and more!
  World Travelers June 11 – 13 Ages 9 – 11 Become an international plant hunter! Explore plants from around the world, like herbs from Europe, cactus from South America, and trees from Australia. Each day includes plant-themed activities, crafts, and games.
  A-B-Seeds June 18 – 20 Ages 6 – 8 Discover the life cycle of nature through seeds! Explore common edible seeds and seeds from garden plants, see how seeds are dispersed in the garden, and create seed-themed crafts.
  Birds of a Feather June 25 – 27 Ages 9 – 11 Three days of feathered-fun! Explore what makes birds unique. Identify birds by how they look and sound, adventure on a bird hike, investigate owl pellets, and build bird feeders.
