Until further guidance from Gov. Greg Abbott’s office, and in compliance with federal and local recommendations related to Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), all Precinct 4 events and programs are canceled through May 31. Although our parks and trails will remain open, our playgrounds, picnic areas, benches and drinking fountains will remain closed. Please continue to practice social distancing at all times. In addition, all community centers will be closed and our Encore (senior program) events remain canceled as well. For questions, please call our Community Assistance Department at 832-927-4444 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Discover new adventures and a variety of activities at Precinct 4’s community centers. From fitness classes to arts and crafts to games and seasonal celebrations, our programs, seminars, and classes are free and designed for the entire family. Programs and classes are provided at little or no cost; however, participants must furnish their own supplies or purchase supplies at instructors’ costs. Donations are welcome, but never required. As part of the community, we seek to help those in need through community outreach. Our fund-raising events provide school supplies for area children and toys for at-risk children during the holiday season. Volunteers help make these fund-raising events a success!
Precinct 4’s community centers depend on volunteers to support their intergenerational programs, classes, summer kids’ activities, seasonal celebrations, and community outreach programs.
If you are looking for rewarding and enriching ways to give back to the community, we encourage you to join the centers’ “family” of volunteers by contacting the center nearest you. The staff is ready and waiting with a list of ways you can contribute to the center and the community.
Please visit the How You Can Help section to learn of the many volunteer opportunities at Precinct 4’s community centers.
