 Recognizing the relationship between socialization and activity to longevity, Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Jerry Eversole is committed to providing older adults with special services through the Precinct 4 Senior Adult Program. These services include educational and recreational day trips transportation, special events, information and referral, free or discounted tickets, and community center classes, programs, and activities.
Organized senior adult groups with individuals ages 50 and older can contact the Senior Adult Program to reserve buses for day trips free of charge. Church groups, civic associations, gardening clubs, and community service organizations are just some of the groups the Precinct’s Senior Adult Program services.
Annually, Precinct 4 transports over 250 senior adult groups that visit attractions such as festivals, museums, plays, concerts, theatrical and sporting venues, and communities within a 150-mile radius from Houston.
Organized senior adult groups call (281) 893-3726 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. for bus reservations. Trip reservations may be scheduled up to four (4) months beyond the current month.
To reserve a travel date, we strongly recommend you make your request at least 90 to 120 days in advance. No reservations can be accepted with less than 30 days notice. |
