The Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) division administers and manages Precinct 4’s capital improvements program. The CIP program includes road expansion projects, traffic signals and intersection improvements and traffic management systems designed to improve mobility and air quality.

The CIP Division also oversees the Child Safety Fund which is designed to provide sidewalks complying with the sidewalk policy and school zone flashing warning signals in public school zones. To find out if your area meets the criteria for either of these programs, please click Sidewalk Policy or School Zone Flashing Warning Signals for the program’s requirements.

In 2007, Precinct 4’s CIP division monitored more than 35 projects in the design phase with an estimated construction value of $145,691,564.
