Stahl Preserve is a 146-acre conservation and nature preserve with a large pristine fishing lake*, magnificent magnolia and cypress trees, and many other wildlife and plant species. This preserve includes separate paved hike and bike, natural-surface, and equestrian trails. The 5.5-mile section of paved trail that connects Pundt Park to Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center is part of the Spring Creek Greenway trail, and is not open to motorized vehicles.
*Swimming and boating is not permitted in lakes or ponds. Canoeing and kayaking is permitted with 24-hour advance notice by contacting the parks reservation department at 281-353-4196. Canoes and kayaks may only be transported to the lake by non-motorized means (portage, rollers, pulled behind a bicycle, etc.).
