This 380-acre park features a primitive canoe launch, playground, picnic loop with ten tables and two pavilions, bicycle racks, rest rooms, separate equestrian and multiuse trails, and two lakes that are perfect for fishing. Future improvements will include a large pavilion and an office.
The 0.9-mile multiuse trail in Pundt Park is one of two trailheads in the phase I Spring Creek Greenway (SCG) trail system. The second trailhead that begins at Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center is 1.1 miles and was dedicated by Commissioner Everole as the Judy Overby Bell Trail in June 2009. The second phase of the SCG trail system, which is a 5.5-mile section of trail, is currently in the engineering and design phase and will complete the 7.5 miles of connectivity between Pundt Park and Jones Park.
The acquisition of an adjoining 115-acre tract, dedicated by Commissioner Eversole as the Stahl Preserve in 2009, completes a 7.5-mile section along the Spring Creek Greenway. Development of the Stahl Preserve is currently underway and will connect Pundt Park to Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center upon completion.
