Lindsay/Lyons Park and Sports Complex
Lindsay/Lyons Park and Sports Complex is a 136-acre facility with 12 lighted baseball fields, two lighted football fields, 18 unlighted soccer fields, two lighted soccer fields, a barbecue pavilion, two playgrounds (including one all-inclusive playground and rest room facility for children of all physical abilities), picnic tables, barbecue grills, rest room facilities, and a concession stand with a pavilion.

Recent additions include a paved walking trail around the playground, three new picnic pavilions, a sensory garden for sight-impaired children, a donor pavers garden, and additional trees.

New Features

Since the ribbon cutting of the playground in August of 2006, Be An Angel Fund Inc. has raised additional funds to provide the three 30-seat pavilions, sensory garden, donor pavers garden, barbecue pits, and picnic tables. Commissioner Jerry Eversole thanked members of Be An Angel Fund Inc., Humble Noon Lions Club, Kingwood Medical Center, and Waste Management June 20, 2008 for the new features at Lindsay/Lyons Park. Earlier in 2008, Precinct 4 parks staff built a one-third-mile paved trail around the perimeter of the playground and planted additional trees.

Commissioner Jerry Eversole thanked members of Be An Angel Fund Inc., Humble Area Chamber of Commerce, Humble Noon Lions Club, Kingwood Medical Center, Waste Management, and Precinct 4 Parks Department staff for the new additions at Lindsay/Lyons Park.
