The Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) recently began construction on a $13.3 million maintenance project that includes removing sediment and making priority repairs on a portion of Horsepen Creek, located in Precinct 4 in the Addicks Reservoir watershed. From March through December, Precinct 4's Road & Bridge Department mows along county roads to control weeds, not only for aesthetic purposes, but to improve drainage.
