Bobcat Sightings at Jones Park
Ever spot a bobcat at Jones Park? With its tufted ears and stubby tail, the bobcat has an exotic appearance that makes it a welcome site in many parks and natural areas. Although common throughout Texas, these reclusive creatures tend to stay hidden during the day, preferring to venture out at night to hunt rodents and other small creatures. Despite the shyness of the bobcat, Jones Park staff have been lucky enough to note seven bobcat sightings in the park within the past two years.

Harris County Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program invites the community to enjoy three hours of live rock, folk, and country music during the 17th annual Precinct 4 Opry Friday, July 27 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center, located at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway in Humble. Kingwood Library is now open with a full line-up of popular children’s programming. Children and teens can participate in the library’s Summer Reading Program every week through Aug. 4! Visit the library for Toddler Time every Tuesday at 10 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. Lapsit Storytime begins at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesdays and at 11 a.m. on Thursdays. Don’t miss Preschool Storytime every Wednesday at 11 a.m. or Family Storytime every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. This is just a small snapshot of the many programs going on at at Kingwood Library.
