Mercer Botanic Gardens invites gardeners of all skill levels to delve into sustainable, organic gardening and begin landscaping for life every Monday from April 3 through May 1 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Taught by Texas Master Naturalist and Landscape for Life certified trainer Debbie Banfield, the five-week Landscape for Life program teaches participants how to improve soil health and help plants grow lush without chemicals.

“With a bit of planning and work, you can save time and money on your garden and spend more time enjoying it,” said Banfield.

The cost of enrollment is $125 for The Mercer Society members and $150 for non-members. Registration is now open. Call 713-274-4166 to register or visit Mercer Botanic Gardens and register on site.

With leadership from Commissioner R. Jack Cagle, Mercer Botanic Gardens is a Harris County Precinct 4 Parks facility located one mile north of FM 1960 at 22306 Aldine Westfield Road in Humble, 77338.
