Big Stone Lodge welcomes the community to an afternoon of fishing, archery, games, and cart rides along the Spring Creek Greenway. Live bluegrass will be performed by The McMillans. A $6 per person suggested donation is requested and payable in advance. Come by the Center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to get tickets no later than Monday, March 5.
Walking Along the Trails

Start your Friday morning with a healthy and educational stroll along Precinct 4’s beautiful trails. Once a month, join a Precinct 4 Trails As Parks (TAP) guide on a gentle two-mile walk along the paved Spring Creek Greenway Trail beginning and ending at Big Stone Lodge.
“Seas” the Day Luncheon
Friday, March 9 at 11:30 a.m.
Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program invites all senior adults 50 years of age or better to a luncheon with live, musical entertainment. Catfish on Wheels will provide all-you-can-eat catfish and shrimp, French fries, hush puppies, beans, coleslaw, dessert, and unlimited coffee and iced tea.
Transportation is available for those 50 or better from Champion Forest Baptist Church, located at 15555 Steubner Airline Road in Houston, at 10:15 a.m. A $12 per person suggested donation is requested and payable in advance during registration. Come by the Center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to get tickets no later than Wednesday, March 7.

Sign up is on a first-come, first-served basis. Transportation is provided for individuals 50 and better through Harris County Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program. A Harris County Precinct 4 bus will pick up and drop off participants at Spring Baptist Church, located at 633 E. Louetta Road in Spring, for the following April trip:
• Wednesday, April 11 at 9 a.m. – Texas Forestry Museum, Lufkin. The cost is $2 per person. Lunch is on your own at Mom’s Diner.
Natural Easter Egg Dying
Wednesday, March 14 at 1 p.m.
Join Kris Linberk, naturalist coordinator with Precinct 4 Trails as Parks (TAP), for a hands-on tutorial to learn to dye colorful Easter eggs with everyday natural ingredients found in most kitchens. Call 281-350-1029 to register and receive a supply list.

Participants 50 and better are welcomed to join in Big Stone Lodge’s Wisdom Circle. Led by Sage-ing International’s Terry Seufert, this gathering is an opportunity to create a sense of community for participants in the second half of their life. Call 281-350-1029 to register.
Meet Me at the Jukebox Luncheon

Big Stone Lodge invites the community to enjoy live music with singer Bobby Ray. Ben’s Chuck Wagon will provide chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, dessert, and unlimited coffee and tea. AARP Tax Aide
Wednesday, March 21 at 9 a.m.
AARP tax-aide volunteers will provide free income tax assistance for low- and middle-income individuals. Those requiring assistance should make an appointment with Center staff by calling 281-350-1029.
Participants need to bring their 2016 tax returns and 2017 documents to the Center. Please remove all documents from their envelopes and organize them prior to the appointment. Each appointment lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Pontoon Boat Ride

Learn how to build symmetry and coordination in the body. Loose-fitting exercise clothing and a thick yoga mat are required for maximum comfort.

This dance class gives a safe and effective aerobic body workout. A variety of dance styles and music including country, pop, hip hop, salsa, tango and merengue make this a fun way to exercise.

Learn drawing techniques from an accomplished artist or continue to improve your talent and skills.

A certified instructor teaches yoga methods to achieve physical and mental harmony as well as emotional and spiritual peace. A non-skid yoga mat is required.
Line Dancing I
Tuesdays from 10:40 a.m. to noon
Participants can master the steps that can be used for any line dancing song in this introductory class.
Cards and Dominoes
Tuesdays at 1 p.m.
Come alone or with a partner to play a variety of card games or dominoes.
Thursdays at 12:15 p.m.
This exciting and easy to learn activity is similar to traditional volleyball, but allows participants to remain seated.
Line Dancing II
Thursdays from 10:40 to noon
This volunteer-led class features popular dances seen on television and in local dance clubs. Participants should wear light-colored, rubber-soled shoes.
Quilting, Knitting and Crocheting
Friday, March 23 at 11 a.m.
Volunteer instructors teach the basics of quilting, knitting, and crocheting to participants of all skill levels. New projects and techniques are featured every month.
