Big Stone Lodge’s free intergenerational programs are part of Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner R. Jack Cagle’s educational and recreational commitment to Harris County residents. Big Stone Lodge is located in Dennis Johnston Park at 709 Riley Fuzzel Road, Spring 77373. In observance of New Year’s Day, the Center closes Friday, Dec. 29 at 5 p.m. and reopens Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 8 a.m. Also, in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King holiday, the Center closes Friday, Jan. 12 at 5 p.m. and reopens Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 8 a.m.
Harris County Precinct 4 programs serve people of all ages regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, religion, national origin, or physical ability. Anyone requiring special assistance to participate in any program should contact Big Stone Lodge. An adult must accompany children under the age of 18. Childcare is not provided at any Precinct 4 facility and children are not allowed in classes in which they are not eligible to participate.

Sign up is on a first-come, first-served basis. Transportation is provided for individuals 50 and better through Harris County Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program. A Harris County Precinct 4 bus will pick up and drop off participants at Spring Baptist Church, located at 633 E. Louetta Road in Spring, for the following February trip:
• Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. – Silver Sycamore, Pasadena. The cost is $19 per person. Lunch is included at the SycamoreVille Saloon.

Big Stone Lodge invites the community to enjoy live music with Valerie Hill. Ben’s Chuck Wagon will provide stuffed baked potatoes, garden salad, rolls, dessert, and unlimited coffee and tea. An $8 per person suggested donation is requested and payable in advance during registration. Come by the Center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to get tickets no later than Wednesday, Jan. 17.
