Do you need a new plant, new pet, new craft project, new chance to get outside and enjoy nature? Then the Mercer Arboretum & Botanic Gardens’ 7th Annual Garden Faire, Fall Market & Festival is for you. Sponsored by The Mercer Society (TMS), organized and manned by groups of Mercer volunteers, this event takes place in the shady picnic area along wooded trails on the west side of Aldine Westfield Road.

Train Ride

Free Train Ride

More people each year are attracted to this fun event. There is a variety of free activities for the kids including “Stan the Train Man” train rides around the picnic loop. The Kids’ Korner Activity Area sponsored by the Kingwood Chapter of the National Charity League offers kids and parents a chance to work together on nature-related crafts such as making and decorating hats with recycled materials, planting seeds to take home, making pine cone bird feeders, cutting and coloring handmade items and lots of fun. Little ones can also enjoy having their face painted.

TMS will have a booth offering memberships and gift items sold in The Gift Shoppe.
