Recycle
Jones Park's recycling bin is located in the parking lot directly across the street from the nature center. There is also a drop-off inside the nature center. Please see the complete list of items acceptable for recycling below:
Paper

Paper:

  • Dry, clean paper, magazines, and newspaper ONLY; paper products need to be placed in paper grocery sacks before placing in the recycling bin. 
  • Do not place paper in plastic grocery bags
  • Do not put wet paper in recycling bin

 
 
 
Cardboard

Cardboard:

  • Dry, clean cardboard only; flatten boxes before placing in the recycling bin
  • Do not put wet or food-contaminated cardboard in recycling bin

 
 
 
Plastic grocery bags

Plastic grocery bags:

  • Accepted in drop-off bin in the nature center
    No. 1 and No. 2 plastic grocery bags ONLY (check number on bag)
  • Remove all trash from grocery bags before placing in recycling bin
  • Do not put plastic bottles in recycling bin

Fishing line and spools

Fishing line and spools:

  • Monofilament fishing line, nets, and empty plastic spools ONLY are accepted in nature center; remove all terminal tackle before placing in the recycling bin 

Glass, plastic, and tin are not accepted at Jones Park's recycling center at this time.
