Join Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve staff in the outdoor classroom that overlooks Marshall Lake for a naturethemed story and activity. Barbara Bush Library staff will bring their pop-up library so participants can also check out books. Kids of all ages are welcome to join in this educational and free program! Activities are subject to change based on the weather.

Join Horticultural Coordinator Matt Abernathy Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. for native plant landscaping and habitat restoration in the park. Volunteers assist with gardening outside the Nature Center, tending plants in the greenhouse, removing invasive plants, assisting with habitat restoration, and other horticulture projects. Volunteer Doug Ebeling also offers vegetable gardening at 10 a.m. in the heritage garden at the pioneer homestead. Closed-toed shoes, gloves, a hat, sunscreen, and water are recommended.
