Originating in China as a martial art, T’ai Chi means the “supreme ultimate fist.” T’ai Chi encourages awareness and natural relaxation while improving balance, coordination, flexibility and centering.

Aerobic attire is recommended. The class is limited to participants ages 13 and older. All participants under the age of 18 must present their Student I.D. or other proof of age.

Volunteer instructor Stephanie Clark leads this exercise class that promotes physical awareness and mental discipline while building symmetry and coordination in the body. Most people who practice Pilates experience improved range of motion, flexibility, circulation, posture, and abdominal strength as well as decreases in back, neck, and joint pain. Comfortable exercise clothing and a thick yoga mat are required for maximum comfort.
