Dennis Johnston Park is a 45-acre facility with a pavilion and picnic tables, a small pond, pergola, walking trails, a butterfly and humingbird garden, and access to Spring Creek. Also, the park is home to Big Stone Lodge, which is a shared use facility that serves as the Parks Department administrative headquarters and a Precinct 4 community center.
Dennis Johnston Park is part of the Spring Creek Greenway, and connects to Pundt Park, the Stahl Preserve, and Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center.
Big Stone Lodge is located within Dennis Johnston Park. Private reservations are available for Friday and Saturday evening events on a limited basis.

Park amenities are available on a first-come, first-served basis and no reservations are required.
Fishing is permitted at the small pond and along the banks of Spring Creek within Dennis Johnston Park. Late winter and early spring are successful times for catching white bass and crappie, while catfish can be caught year-round.
