Burroughs Park

Experience the lush landscape, winding trails, and lakefront views at this 320-acre splendid park in Tomball. Amenities at this facility include sports fields, a seven-acre fishing lake*, five playgrounds, over eight miles of nature trails, picnic areas, an observation deck and boardwalk, rest room facilities, a dog park, and an award-winning barbecue pavilion that seats over 250 people.

*Swimming, boats, canoes, and kayaks are not permitted in lakes or ponds.

The lake at Burroughs Park is stocked each year with rainbow trout by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and also contains bluegill, channel catfish, and largemouth bass. Catch-and-release fishing is encouraged.

Precinct 4 Summer Movie Nights

Thursdays, June 23, July 21, and August 18 at 8 p.m.

Precinct 4 welcomes the community to enjoy a free movie, snack, and activity at Burroughs Park Thursdays, June 23, July 21, and August 18 at dusk. Early arrival is recommended to get a good location for your blanket and lawn chairs. Light refreshments will be provided.

Sunday Afternoon in the Park

Sunday Afternoon in the Park is a family festival held the third Sunday in October at Burroughs Park. This free event features carnival games, children's crafts, clowns, concessions, fishing, hayrides, nature tours, a petting zoo, pony rides, a pumpkin patch, and more!

Bring a picnic lunch or purchase food from the concession booth, and join family and friends for a fun-filled afternoon at one of Harris County's most beautiful recreational areas!

Information on cancellations or changes of all sports association practice/game schedules occurring on sports fields in Precinct 4 parks must be directed to the individual association: Sports associations do not provide Precinct 4 with game schedules, cancellations, or changes of their activities.
